DNA Results are in
We have been working with Paul Adanick (macro-photography expert and Red Mulberry researcher), Weston Lombard (Solid Ground Farm and PI with NorthCentral SARE), and Nigel Daniels (Ohio State Genomics Lab) on one particular trait for microscopic examination that, when combined with petiole and vascular bundle morphology, would allow for a highly accurate purity determination. Weston and Nigel have just released their preliminary report (genomic DNA work) including details on our continuing work. Additional work will be required to enhance the existing DNA libraries, which will be facilitated by an accurate morphological key.
